I just made a homemade Strawberry Pie!  So, alright I didn't make the crust, but my only ingredients were strawberries, water, sugar, corn starch and salt.  How's that for being a Betty.  What's a Betty?  A Betty is Susie Homemaker magnified.  Famous Betty's  The original Betty is of course Betty Crocker, then we have Martha Stewart, Emily Post, etc.  Well, long ago my Mom , who was a Betty - run- amok,  dubbed me a Betty Wannabe.   I had my heart in the right place , but lacked the know how.  So I have been on a quest ever since to rectify the situation.  My lasted stab is a year of recipes from a very Southern cookbook.  The pie was my first.  I' ll get a pic and post reviews from friends later.
